I understand you have pride in your own work but wouldn’t it be more efficient if you worked with them? like let them have the rest of volume 1 and 2 and tell them you’ll handle 3?
If you absolutely have to do it yourself I understand. It just seems to me that translating stuff already translated well enough is wasted effort.

normally 2 chapters a month, but I have to deal with my Dad’s stage 4 cancer so I haven’t been able to sit down and do any translating

I hope that your dad gets better ,take a break,don’t lose hope.Being close to your familly really alleviate the pain and the depression from chemeo and radiotherapy (i have a stage 2 hodking cancer,it may not be sever as your father but i can understand some of what your passing throught) even if you dropped the TL, i think no one can blame for that.RLand familly issue take take the precedence. I wish you the best and sorry for my bad english

i’m fine emotionally, I have accepted the purpose of the cycle of life and death and feel it is a necessary construct of the universe. It is merely more things I have to do each day since my other siblings push it on to me since I don’t have a job and still in school. I am basically just taken away from being on my desktop all day or away from my desktop for days. It should be fine now that he has his surgery. It is his fault for smoking in the first place and being too lazy to take care of himself.

I will probably make a locked page for the side story sometime by the end of summer. Should start organizing it for when I do release it after I finish translating this series. Although I think the author is slowing down work on this series since it is approaching the end and he is working more on the spin off. I will make it private until I finish. No spoilers. I might release it under a passcode called ‘spoiler’ before I complete elf tensei.

I will finish it up as soon as i finish ch 3 of himekishi. I don’t like my translations being behind the manga. I should always be ahead of the mangas or anime.

The series would be over translating in about a year and a half with only one series and I didn’t have like adhd. Since I do have it overall translating speed is a bit sketchy. With a second series, it would be faster in general if I had only one series. You underestimate my procrastination.

Does Elf Tensei contains “Mature” content such as detailed scenes of Syrill and Lucie having sexy time or atleast hints that they did it , like in Mushoku Tensei ?

I am working on teasers and finals are approaching. I won’t drop elf tensei unless I die. If I don’t do well in my classes, I won’t pass my classes. If I don’t pass my classes I don’t graduate. If I don’t graduate then I won’t get a better paying job and will be forced to work more hours giving me less free time to translate. Think long term goals for translations. I am preparing to create a base to allow myself to translate forever.

often is a relative word. I am a bit obsessed with this series too. I am also carefully formulating each line. A bit of research goes in too. As I improve my knowledge, it may get faster. I am going to try to release one before the end of this week.

I haven’t read that far. I think everything from Japan is Harem. I might as well be. I am going to say yes it is. The chances that it isn’t is low, especially for reincarnation novels. This novel will be very pg-13. no sex or ecchi, but there will be killing.

about once every 2 to 3 weeks when I am super busy. when translators for other novels don’t release as quickly, I will begin working on it more. I usually work on it on the weekends and I can do about 50 percent of the lines in a day. Real life gets in the way so I am not able to work on it as much as I would like. Though this series is relatively easy for me to translate and the writer is very good in terms of how understandable it is. By the way, even if another translator tries to jump in and delivers chapter x, I will still work on my version of chapter X. So this wont be dropped and I am calling dibs on this series.
